The North Greenville Fire Department is a special purpose fire district with an ISO rating of 5. The department
serves the areas north of the city of Travelers Rest to the Marietta area, from Dacusville Road in the west to the Sandy Flatt
area in the east. Established in 1971, North Greenville Fire District is a paid-volunteer department. Thirteen
full time employees that operate 2 stations with 24 hour-a-day coverage, as well as nineteen volunteers that stand
guard to protect the citizens of our communities. Some of these communities include Green Valley, Sunny Slopes,
Pine Meadow, Glastonberry, Renfrew Mill area, and Edgewood communities.

The department is led by Chief Lee Kelly. Chief
Kelly has over 25 years of experience that began as he climbed through the ranks to become the departments head
officer. The department is governed by a 5 memeber citizen elected Fire Commission Board: Craig Drummond (chairman),
Ronnie Mcalister (vice chair), Roger Fredricks (secretary), Greg Robertson (treasurer), and Sam Clark (commissioner).
